You do not have to give up your usual breakfast to make it better.
If you eat poha, add peas, grated carrot, peanuts and coriander. If you eat upma, increase vegetables and add roasted chana or seeds on the side. If you eat idli, make sambar the main partner instead of only coconut chutney. If you eat dosa, try a mixed dal batter sometimes. If breakfast is bread, choose whole wheat bread and add cucumber, tomato, paneer or sprouts.
Paratha can also be improved. Use whole wheat, add methi, gobi, mooli or paneer, and keep curd or salad with it. The issue is not the paratha itself. The issue is a low fibre plate with refined flour, pickle and tea only.
Start with one upgrade, not five. Add one fruit. Add one vegetable. Add one bowl of sambar. Add sprouts twice a week. These small moves make breakfast more fibre rich without making it feel like a diet plan.
Low fibre breakfasts usually happen out of speed. Keep pre-cut vegetables, roasted chana, fruit or seeds ready.
A practical breakfast is one you can repeat. Fibre works best when the habit survives Monday morning.
A breakfast upgrade only works if you would actually repeat it on a rushed Monday. Keep the change small enough to survive one.
